Karanlıkdere Balanced Cantilever Viaduct
Construction of a 286-metre, three-span balanced-cantilever viaduct on the Kastamonu-Çankırı (Kırık Dam Variant) road.
Field Engineering on a Balanced-Cantilever System
Constructed within the scope of the Kastamonu-Çankırı (Kırık Dam Variant) road, the Karanlıkdere viaduct is a three-span bridge structure built with the balanced-cantilever method. With a total length of 286 metres, the production, assembly and on-site fabrication are carried out by FTK Group as subcontractor under the employer partnership of Cengiz İnşaat & HGG İnşaat.
The total scope includes 26,239 m³ of concrete and 5,977 tonnes of reinforcement-steel works. The planned schedule is 18 months and works are progressing rapidly under disciplined site management.
